Wimberry - Salmon boulder

Above and slightly right of the Fish is the Salmon boulder. Easily recognisable by the distinctive flakes on the downhill face.

Salmon boulder

1. The dirty slabby groove on the left side, 3.
2. Climb the slabby bulging rib just right, 4.
3. Le Petit Tank, climb the flakes starting on the arete to pull over at the apex of the boulder, 4+. A sit start is better and slightly harder at 5. Harder again is a sit start up the right arete to join the top of the flakes, 6b+.
4. Climb the right arete starting on the block, 4+. Starting off the grass is awkward and harder at 6a.
5. On the right hand face is an attractive line of pockets, easy and short from standing, 3. A good sitting start matched in the bottom pocket is 6b.
