Wimberry - Shellshot

Shellshot has a gloomy downhill face with a couple of good and quite hard problems and some easier slabby stuff on its right hand side.

Shellshot

Starting on the big downhill face:

1. The centre of the downhill face is climbable via some friable flakey crimps, and is around 7b.
2. The right hand arete of the downhill face has a tricky start, easy climbing then leads to a worrying finish. Use the big handholds round the arete at this grade but keep your feet on the downhill face/arete. 6a.
3. Lower arete past 2 cracks, 4.
4. Middle of slab past the 2 pockets, 4.
5. Climb direct up to and past the high flake, 6a+.
